Message from the Head
Dear Parents,
It feels as if we are racing towards the end of term!
On Monday, Mr Firth reminded us that it is Refugee Week and we listened to some videos about what it feels like to be a refugee. Thank you, Mr Firth!
Today, Mr Sud reminded us that Maths is ‘like a box of chocolates’ and we were thinking about the Maths we need in our lives. Here is a link to his assembly.
We celebrated the end of GCSE examinations this week – well done Year 11! You have crushed it! I hope you are celebrating and looking forward to your Prom next Friday! My neighbourhood seems full of teenagers celebrating the end of exams and my own house tonight! I’m busy sourcing ‘put up’ beds for a Year 11 sleepover…
It was lovely to welcome Alison Bingham into school this week (Vice Chair of our Board of Trustees) and we managed a quick tour of Senior School.
We were so sorry to cancel Prep Sports Day this week but look forward to next Tuesday’s rearranged events.
Last week I mentioned I was saving ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ until this week. I hope those of you who watched enjoyed this as much as I did. It was beautiful and the acting worthy of the best Shakespearian stage (I am not joking)! This was the first whole school production in many years and was simply prefect (apart from that helicopter)! My thanks to Miss Seaton, Mrs Wand, Mr Dean and Miss Hook for helping with all the rehearsals and also to our backstage helpers.
There is a lot happening over the next couple of weeks (listed below) so please do make a note of the dates which are relevant to you and your family.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.

Message from the Deputy Head Seniors / Head of Prep
Good afternoon,
Another busy week in Prep and an even busier one next week! Years 5 and 6 are currently on their residential trip with Mrs Keyworth, Mr Ockleford and Mrs Bond and it sounds like they are having a wonderful time. I look forward to hearing all about it.
On Monday, Miss Cooper’s Girls’ Football Club took on St Augustine’s at Brendon Lawrence. The girls competed well and also enjoyed travelling in the new school minibus!
Sports Day has been rearranged for Tuesday and hopefully, the weather will be a little better than it was this Tuesday. Please read Mr Deacon’s email about timings and parking arrangements.
On Wednesday, EYFS and Year 1 will be celebrating their achievements in their Prize Giving assembly. Following this, it will be EYFS Sports Day in the Prep garden. We look forward to seeing you there.
Children in Kindergarten to Year 5 will fly up to their new classes on Thursday. Year 6 will join the new pupil and parent event in the afternoon. There will be a separate email on Monday detailing this and Form Teachers for next year.
It is of course the Garden Party on Saturday 1st July. Thank you for all your donations so far; please keep sending these in!
Have a lovely weekend,
Victoria Wright
