Entrance Day is not a day of formal assessments. Pupils will participate in several lessons or activities with key teachers, which will give us an indication of their abilities, aptitudes to learning and social skills. Additionally, each pupil will have an interview with the Head or a senior member of staff. Places will be offered to pupils who display qualities that suggest they will respond to a Hollygirt education.
At our small, warm and nurturing school we pride ourselves on the excellent progress of our mixed-ability pupils teamed with exceptional pastoral care and exciting opportunities to enhance both their personal and academic development. We take pupils from a wide range of ability and can cater well for many individual needs: stretching the most able and providing support and scaffolding where needed.
Our Entrance Day is held each January for Year 7 admission in September of that year.
To register your interest or if you have any queries, please contact our Admissions Manager, Mrs Charlotte Schmidt on charlotteschmidt@hollygirt.co.uk or call 0115 958 0596.
