Find out moreWe hope this gives you an enticing snapshot of our fabulous school. Hollygirt is a special place with a unique atmosphere. A top quality education is not just about getting top grades, though many of our children do; it is about having the finest educational journey, with opportunities within and beyond the curriculum for all. Our pupils leave school with their confidence high and their self-esteem intact, ready to face the challenges of the world.
We expect that all our pupils will look smart, be well disciplined, work their hardest and be courteous and kind. All our pupils are individuals known to all staff by name. There is no Hollygirt type: we take pupils of all abilities, from different social and cultural backgrounds who mix harmoniously together.
Hollygirt welcomes applications from girls and boys aged 3 to 16. Whilst most children join us at age 3 or 4, age 7 and age 11, it is not unusual for us to accept pupils into any year group, to start at any point in the academic year, subject to places being available.

Our staff to pupil ratio is high and each child is known by name by all adults working at the school; thus all feel valued. All our pupils are allowed to be themselves. All individuals, whatever their differences, are asked to follow our expectations: to work hard, to demonstrate kindness, show respect and courtesy, and learn to take responsibility for their actions.

I’m a former pupil and loved every moment of my time at Hollygirt. Now, having my own child, I didn’t even think twice about sending her here. I know that all the teachers will take their time and nurture her strengths and support her with any weaknesses.
Year 3 Parent
From his very first day here in Reception at Hollygirt, we knew Finn had joined a very special school. We are welcomed as a family and he is part of a small closely-knit class that he considers close friends. The teaching staff are the most caring and attentive professionals. Finn has developed amazing self-confidence and loves coming to school to learn - that is all we could ever have wished for.
