Find out moreSending your son or daughter to a small independent school is one of the greatest gifts you can give, and we appreciate the commitment you are making. We know that so many essential learning skills can be taught and embedded from 3+ (or younger) and will work closely with families from this young age to give your sons and daughters the best possible start to their education; one that will carry them through life. Our commitment to providing the best possible pastoral care, a tailored and dynamic curriculum and happy school days and memories naturally continues throughout your child’s time with us and until their very last day.
A small, all through school provides a unique educational experience and encourages a strong sense of family and those values we associate with family life. Hollygirt is a warm, diverse, tolerant, problem solving and hardworking community that excels at nurture. We try to encourage every member of this family, staff, students, families and trustees to fulfil their potential.
Importantly, we understand how the brain learns - the role of cognitive science in education and this is fundamental in teaching students the learning skills they need for life. This is the spirit of Hollygirt! We aim to ensure all of our students are equipped for the world outside of school when they leave, not only with a myriad of academic and pastoral achievements that celebrate effort, talent and determination but with a ‘school of thought’ that is founded upon discipline, respect, ethics and creativity.
We’d love to welcome you into our unique school. Enquire now to arrange a visit.

Our staff to pupil ratio is high and each child is known by name by all adults working at the school; thus all feel valued. All our pupils are allowed to be themselves. All individuals, whatever their differences, are asked to follow our expectations: to work hard, to demonstrate kindness, show respect and courtesy, and learn to take responsibility for their actions.

I’m a former pupil and loved every moment of my time at Hollygirt. Now, having my own child, I didn’t even think twice about sending her here. I know that all the teachers will take their time and nurture her strengths and support her with any weaknesses.

From my son's very first day here in Reception at Hollygirt, we knew he had joined a very special school. We are welcomed as a family and he is part of a small closely-knit class that he considers close friends. The teaching staff are the most caring and attentive professionals. My son has developed amazing self-confidence and loves coming to school to learn - that is all we could ever have wished for.
