Curriculum

In the Prep School, we follow National Curriculum objectives. We have recently introduced a more creative curriculum and cover most of our History, Geography, Art and DT objectives through half termly topics, chosen by staff to suit particular cohorts.

Where possible, we create more cross curricular links between our topics and other subjects. We teach Modern Foreign Languages from Year 1. In addition to this, Years 5 and 6 are taught Latin.

Children are taught by Form Teachers for most subjects but all have some specialist teaching – for Music and PE in KS1 and lower KS2.  As the children progress up the School, more specialist teaching is introduced, for example, for ICT, Art, DT, Latin and Spanish.
