Message from the Deputy Head

Dear Parents,

I would like to thank the parents who were able to join me for the Coffee Morning on Thursday.

Mr Rollinson delivered an excellent assembly on Monday on safe internet use ahead of Safer Internet Day on Tuesday.

It has been competition week this week which has seen the houses take part in flipping pancakes, making kindness rocks and reading inspirational stories in the Prep Assembly.

This week we have raised awareness of Children’s Mental Health by taking part in Form Time tasks and we have raised money for mental health charities by taking part in Wear a Scarf to School Day.

I would like to say well done to the pupils for their efforts this half term and thank you for your continued support.

I look forward to seeing pupils after a safe and restful half-term break.

Message from the Head of Prep

Good afternoon,

Another busy week in the Prep School as we come to the end of this half term.  On Monday, we enjoyed an assembly of inspirational stories which was presented by students in the Senior School.  Thank you to all the students who participated and made it really good fun for the Prep children.  Kindergarten and Reception parents and grandparents had a lovely afternoon in Early Years yesterday.  The children were so excited with activities including decorating biscuits for Valentine’s Day.

It was Safer Internet Day on Tuesday.  Mrs Wand gave an assembly on this theme and we have had further discussions and activities in class.  I am sure it is a topic which you have continued to discuss at home.

Parents’ Evenings will take place on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th February.  If you haven’t already done so, please could you complete the online form.  Teachers will send out individual appointment times once they have received all replies.

School Council met this week and teachers will now discuss their ideas and look at what we can implement.  They have made suggestions about clubs, charity events and are even planning for the summer Garden Party.  It is really important to us that the children have a voice and continue to both put forward their ideas and where possible, see these actioned.

Finally, I am delighted to congratulate Mrs and Mr Maher on the safe arrival of their beautiful baby boy, Arthur.  I can’t wait to meet him.

I hope you all have a wonderful half term break and I look forward to seeing you on Monday 19th February.
