Weekly News (Update 21) including Teams Teaching Timetables

Message from the Headmistress

Dear Parents,

This is a short update to day to remind you that we are not at school or setting work for tomorrow. It is very odd having a Bank Holiday on a Friday and I must say it has made Thursday feel somewhat more pressurised than a Thursday should…

I am expecting to be updating you next week on the government’s plans for schools phased return. The briefing is on Sunday.

Pupils are reminded to place their vote for the next Head Girl/Boy for the next academic year. Details have been sent to pupils on Satchel:One. The deadline for this is next Tuesday.

Online lessons are going well and the senior timetable for tutor times and lessons is as follows:

Keep well and have a restful long weekend. (Get the exercise and gardening in on Friday and Saturday as on Sunday the forecast takes a turn for the worse…)

Dear Parents,

I hope you have had a good week. I am really impressed with both the quality of work being set by teachers and the quality of the work being submitted by the children. The children and staff are enjoying the Teams sessions and although we all sometimes experience some technical difficulties, they have been really successful. Teams sessions for next week are listed below and again, some are group work, and Form Teachers will be in touch with specific times for sessions.

I hope the children enjoy the VE Day activities this afternoon and look forward to seeing the photographs and videos; please send photographs to info@hollygirt.co.uk and videos of We’ll Meet Again to Miss Purchase, via email or submitted on Show My Homework.

Have a lovely long weekend; it looks like we may have a couple of days of beautiful weather so enjoy.
