Message from the Acting Head
Dear Parents,
We are well into the Year 11 exams. This week we had Art, Religious Studies and Biology. The feedback from pupils has been positive. I have been impressed with how pupils have shown commitment by coming into school to prepare for them and despite naturally being anxious, they have been very mature ahead of the exams.
We are preparing for an exciting week next week as pupils will be voting for their new Head Boy or Head Girl. On Monday, candidates will deliver a speech to their prep and senior peers and then on Tuesday the whole school will vote.
Mr Shahrokhshahi took a group of Year 10 pupils to Nottingham Magistrates’ Courts where they were able to view three live cases.
Mrs Williams has been working on extracting DNA from peas with Year 8 and Mrs Griffiths had really positive feedback for the Year 10 Religious Studies pupils following their recent exam.
We have taken advantage of the lovely weather and Miss Seaton has delivered Drama and Music lessons outside.
We have had an amazing response from pupils regarding uniform expectations and I would like to thank them and you for your support.
Kind regards,
Dave Cholerton

Message from the Head of Prep / Deputy Head of Seniors
Good afternoon,
I hope you enjoyed the long, bank holiday weekend. It was lovely to have some sunshine too.
Careers Day on Wednesday, organised by Mrs Heatlie, was a great success and all of the Prep children listened to four parents talk about their jobs and career paths. Huge thanks to the parents who were all so interesting and inspirational.
Prep children are busy rehearsing for the Lion King and are working so hard for this. I can’t wait to see the final production.
As the weather does get warmer, all children need to have a sun hat, ideally one which can be kept in school. Please could you also check items of uniform and PE kit at home in case children have accidently brought home someone else’s items.
If you, or anyone you know, is able to donate a raffle prize for the Garden Party, please let Mrs Scott know. This will be greatly appreciated.
Have a lovely weekend,
Victoria Wright
